Our aim is to provide guests at our Kent Downs holiday cottages with many of the creature comforts of a quality hotel but with the added space and convenience afforded by self-catering cottages. The heated indoor swimming pool is open all year and is a huge draw. It is maintained at a toasty 30 degrees. Our guests enjoy their own private session daily - no need to share with others.
Our location, near the ancient market town of Faversham, high on the Kent Downs provides a peaceful holiday retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Escape the crowds, immerse yourself in natural beauty, space and fresh clean air - a chance to relax, reflect and recharge - and all within easy reach of London. For those wanting to get out and about, Kent has some 300 miles of coastline to suit all tastes and more castles, stately homes and gardens to visit than any other county in the UK.
Our cottages are nestled amidst the well maintained grounds, which extend to over 8 acres of cherry orchard and manicured formal gardens (including a picnic and wildlife area for children to explore) in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - with stunning surrounding countryside to delight ramblers, dog walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and horse riders alike. Both the Pilgrim's Way and the North Downs Way are close by and the 2,000 acre Otterden Estate is right on your doorstep.
Our cottages are dog friendly and our 8 acres of grounds are fully fenced. We have open paddocks for your little cannies to enjoy.
We have some fantastic local pubs on our doorstep and plenty of options for fine dining within easy reach. Kent, known as "The Garden of England" is foodie heaven and boast more than 60 vineyards, many of which offer tours and tastings.
We stock and sell locally produced award winning ice cream by 'Simply' and a range of wines produced by local Award Winning winery, Chapel Down.
I will never forget this stay
Absolutely unreal stay. Scenic views, stunning and breathtaking grounds which are so well kept! We stayed in Cherry, gorgeous place. Bed was so comfy we slept so well. Lovely little complementary bits neatly placed on the side when we entered everything was honestly so perfect. Hosts so welcoming and polite just made us feel instantly at ease and content. Pool was such an experience I would really recommend couples coming here and using the pool because that was an unforgettable memory and not something you get to experience often! The sun was going down one of the nights we used the pool and the lighting just went beautiful, glowing off the ceiling - we loved the evening swim. Literally a whole pool to yourselves while looking at a stunning property. So quiet you can hear the nature and at night it’s so calm and just a safe feeling. If you’re thinking about it and you’re not sure, this is your sign, DO IT!
